Poison
#Question re poison. The numbers in the brackets don’t make any sense. Ex belladonna w 1-3 I 1-2 h 1-2 d1 over six rounds? How do you get six it’s confusing.
Answer The duration of poison is extended by 2 rounds if you get hit with multiple doses. Some effect lines are longer to allow for more serious consequences.
This is how belladonna should play out in terms of mechanics.
- Round 1 - (4 points of poison damage); -1 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls
- Round 2 - (4 points of poison damage); -2 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls
- Round 3 - (4 points of poison damage); -3 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls
- Round 4 - (4 points of poison damage); -3 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls, -1 from any other Strength rolls
- Round 5 - (4 points of poison damage); -3 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls, -2 from any other Strength rolls
- Round 6 - (4 points of poison damage); -3 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls, -2 from any other Strength rolls; staggered (1st round)
- Round 7 (if multiple doses) - (4 points of poison damage); -3 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls, -1 from any other Strength rolls; staggered (2nd round)
- Round 8 (if multiple doses) - (4 points of poison damage); -3 penalty to Strength-based d20 rolls, -1 from any other Strength rolls; staggered (2nd round); disabled
Disabled is the end state. So at most belladonna conditions will disable you, but the 32 points of poison damage may still kill.
Missing Classes
Question Previously, Porphyra was compatible with Pathfinder 1 and I thought all the basic classes were usable in the Porphyra setting. I realize this newest release is no longer using the Pathfinder compatible logo and that some basic classes are absent from the roster such as bard, Druid, sorcerer, hunter.
Do you have any plans to release a publication in which these classes will be detailed, or do they not exist in the new Porphyra setting?
Answer: Even now, the bard, druid, sorcerer, and hunter should be mostly compatible with what we are trying to do. So if you wanted to play one of those classes you could probably just continue to do so with the Pathfinder 1e rules.
We will be updating the majority of classes as we go along. If the update is minor, they will likely just appear on the website like:
- Arcanist
- Barbarian
- Brujo (from Paths of Power II)
- Inquisitor
- Oracle (currently in playtest)
We are also running a playtest on our druid and our bard which have had more significant changes.
