A brilliant divine radiance surrounds the subjects, protecting them from attacks, granting them resistance to spells cast by two outsider subtypes, and causing two outsider subtypes to become blinded when they strike the subjects. This abjuration has four effects.

First, each warded creature gains a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus on saves. This benefit applies against all attacks, not just against attacks by the listed subtypes.

Second, each warded creature gains spell resistance 25 against the listed subtypes.

Third, the abjuration protects the recipient from possession and mental influence, may immediate make a second saving throw against a mind effect that you have failed. The saving throw is made with a +2 morale bonus to this second save. If successful, such effects are suppressed for the duration of this spell. The effects resume when the duration of this spell expires. While under the effects of this spell, the target is immune to any new attempts to possess or exercise mental control over the target.

Finally, if a creature with the listed subtype succeeds on a melee attack against a creature warded by a defensive aura, the offending attacker is blinded (Fortitude save negates, as steal sense, but against defensive aura's save DC).
